Guinea Pig babies are remarkable because they are born complete with fur, eyesight, and the ability to walk from birth. They look and act just like miniature grown up Guinea Pigs! Guinea Pigs get to be about 12 inches long and weigh about 2 lbs.They need a guinea pig pellet which is high in vitamin C . They also enjoy lettuce, celery, oats, apples and carrots. Tomatoes and parsley make good treats. Breeding:
The gestation period is 65 to 68 days.There are generally 3 to 6 babies. They should stay with their mother for 6 to 8 weeks at which time they are usually weaned and can eat on their own.
